hello. i'm back, finally.

as promised, here are the photos, i'm super duper lazy so i'll not elaborate much yea. (= just re-organise the entries.

DAY 1:

arrived at 2 plus at taipei. 1st destination was LeoFoo village. its actually a theme park.

RAHH. isnt my bro adorable?! HOHOHO!

had dinner at a chinese restaurant. tried a couple of new dishes- 3 cups chicken, sweet and sour fish, steamed fish and vege. n SHOPPING at night at xi men ding.

FOOD FOOD FOOD- most memorable one i say would be the Ah Zhou Mian Xian.

LOOK LOOK. look at how long pple have to wait just to eat a bowl of Ah Zhou Mian Xian.

so this is what pple were desperately CRAVING for. My supper on DAY1.

n i finally gathered enough courage to try chow toufu. wooohooo!!

i went out at night alone to shop too. and was like.. searching for a place to use internet. but i couldnt.

hotel- Paradise Hotel.

DAY 2:

OMGGGG. i woke up at 530am! super early cann. had breakfsst. yum yum. had buns & baos, hotdogs, teowchew porridge etc.1st destination of the day was Yehliu.

there, we found rocks that were shaped naturally by natural forces and splashing waves into queen's head, slippers and elephant.

okay pple, look the the one furthest away and with the thinnest "neck". that is believed to lk like the queen's head. i duno why. okay. these are rocks that isaid, formed by natural forces, waves etc.

dead and dried coral. that were previously in water.

Mountains there increase yearly like hw babies grow.2nd destination- Yang Ming Shan Hot Spring where i had hot spa.

3rd was some Nantien temple where we had peanut icecream foldover right outside. YUMMY.

okkk, then the journey to the next destination(forgot the name-will update later) was long n tortuous. we were like travelling across mountains. took us near to 3 hrs. behind schedule by roughly 45 min because there were accidents along the way. rocks/stones fell from the mountains and either blocked the road or caused some mishaps to the tourists ahead of our tour group.

According to the tour guide, 70-80% of Taiwan is mountains or rather uneven grounds. n theres some interestin facts i learnt- the angle of repose for these mountains are about 75-90 degrees. and this is a consequence of the earthquakes that happened years ago. and the roads(xue shan dao) we travelled today took the governement 13 years to build and during the building process 212 lives were taken and 700+ workers were injured.

Look at the 2 pic above. realise the angles of repose? near to 90 Degrees. tts hw steep yeaa.

ok. the circular thing that my bro is lying on functioned like a compass thousand of years ago. yupp!

another fact: taiwan is separated from US by the Pacific Ocean and esimates to take me 2 months to continuously swim from taiwan to US. haha. too long? hw abt japan? it takes me approximately 2 weeks to swim from taiwan to Japan.

4th destination:

Ami Aboriginal Cultural Village in Hualien, where i got "married". *faints.

history of how Hualien got its name- Traditional females in Hualien after marriage would have their faces tattooed. and THERE! translated into chinese- hua1 lian3. (=

For this tour, we were not backpacking. we were LUGGAGING. LOL. the concept is the same- haha. my fam and i travelled round taiwan, changing hotels every night.

Day 3:
woke up at around 6am cann!! rahhh! its 6am.ate buffet bf.

before i begin, let me share abit more geographical facts of Taiwan.

+ A line that is drawn from the north to south divides Taiwan vertically, with the green mountains on the right. remb what i shared yest? 70-80% of Taiwan is actually mountains/uneven grounds. =)

+ And, there's something very amazing abt Taiwan, i.e. the equator divides Taiwan horizontally such that places below the equator experience a warmer climate.

okayy, remb what i shared yest? i'm travellin ROUND taiwan, LITERALLY. as i travel from taipei to hualien to Kaoshiung(where i am noww), i experience a change in temperature of abt 3-5 D.C. from abt 18 D.C in taipei to abt 20 D.C. in Kaoshiung. FYI, taipei is at the north. yupp!

departed PV hotel at ard 730am. wah wah wah! today is a butt-pain day. because the journey from hualien to Kaoshiung(K.S.) took abt 9 hrs. i repeat, NINEEE hrs. reached K.S at ard 4 plus.

as usual, ate bf, then slept. woke up for lunch and then sleep. woke up for dinner and back to the hotel. and and, TOADY IS SAT= many comedy shows by Jackey Wu etc. hoooray!

Places visited today-

1) this 85 stories high building. quite a waste that it was quite hazy.

2) this village that grows and sells fruits such as... ang moh durian, custard and blah blah blah. i bought some. will share with you all when i'm bck okay! pray tt i dun finish them b4 i return spore. HOHOHO!

my personal opinion regarding kaoshiung- i find that kaoshiung is a little unsuitable for me. not tt i dun like, but i guess, i prefer taipei, seriously! hmmm. i would say air pollution here is reallyyy bad. think its because of the many many many many(X45678956789) vehicles, majority of them are motorbikes.)

hmmm. running nose, ooops i mean SPRINTING nose. haha. heh. but i did enjoy my stay there, got to exp a totally diff. lifestyle. OH YA! talking abt lifestyle, the tour guide says that Hualien is a GOOD place to stay. suitable for old and young. clean air, peaceful blah blah blah.

but i think my parents like kaoshiung because they can shop for fruits like hw they always do in spore markets. HEH!

time for interesting facts AGAINN! heh heh. the "DO YOU KNOW" section.

Do you know why plants that bear fruits are covered with black plastic/cloth?- black absorbs heat. and this increased temperature means that villagers can harvest faster, earlier than others. so WHAT? hmm. because they can sell their fruits earlier, before the actual season, thus they can earn MORE. Financial benefit.

Do you know that bee hives have HEXAGONAL holes? and why HEXAGON?- hexagon radiates heat faster. allows cooling. and even bees in thr hives have to continuously flap their wings to cool their home- hives.

Do you know that Taiwan is surrounded by pacific ocean and taiwan hai3 gang3?- yes, china is located west of taiwan, separated by the hai3 gang3. and as i mentioned earlier, US is located east of taiwan, separated by the Pacific Ocean. Japan is located north of taiwan.

Do you know how royal jelly can benefit humans, esp. females?- for beauty, health, to heal ulcers. i duno lar. its as if it can be used for everything. haha.

Do you know how long a chicken lives before it is killed for our consumption?- estimated 21 days. they are injected with hormones and are killed after 21 days for human consumption. ehh. so mothers in the world who wants their daughters to have ehhh... "ultre matured" body, plss feed your daughters more of such "hormonated -" chickens. (note: theres actually no such word as hormonated. haha.)

DAY 4:

Taichung.

hooray! ROUND Taiwan luggaging near to completion.

the day started bad. hmm. the tour guide was rather angry with the china pple during BF. heres what happened and why the tour guide was VERY angry.the china pple squeezed and pushed their way thru teh crowd to get their food, as thou we were TRANSPARENT and theres famine. i was quite irritated too, for 2 reasons- 1. they dun ask b4 sitting on other pple's seats. 2. they pushed their way thru, esp.. they pushed me cannn! when i'm holdin on to food. i was like wth lar! nvmmmm. love is patient. love is kind. i think my exp was still okayy, what happened to my tour mates was even moree terrible. just happened that there was a family with a 21-mth old baby girl. they came as a fam of 4. while 2 of the fam members went to take food, these 2 china women came n sat on their table. stun la! then.. in the end, the old man(the baby girl's grandpa) just ate abit n left. no place to sit. wah.so tts why the tour guide was unhappy n unsatisfied with first, the china pple and two, the restaurant management. actually, theres more to why the tour guide is unhappy with china pple. well, i think u guys are smart enough to guess yea. shall not elaborate. haha. dun wana end up being put behind bars. =)okayy, enough of ranting and unhappy stuff.

heres what happened on... DAY FOUR!

1) Hakka village- where MANY, i repeat MANY, food is sold. souvenirs etc. n.. can u believe it??! i saw my hall friend lar. in hall, in taiwan.

2) Wen Wu temple. the current wen wu temple is quite new. hmm. it was reconstructed in 1969. EQ! yupp. its 3508m2 big and this makes it the LARGEST temple in Taiwan. 2 large red lions squat on each side which represents guard and reception. SIX metres tall!

3) n we tried some nuts. shitties. i gt mental block. ehh. the girl is dressed in bikini. i took photo. woohoo.

4) beef steamboat. PERSONAL steamboat okayy. customers have a choice whether they want it spicy(ma3 la4 huo guo)

5) night shopping! yesh, againn.

hotel- De Bao Business Hotel. hotel was great. PLASMA LCD tv okayy. heading back to taipei the next day. OMGG, morning call is at 530am.

okayy this the place where i bought the food like tai yang bing, zong tung bing, feng li shu blah blah blah back for you all. its a famous shop okayy. so do treasure every bite you take or are going to take.

journey back to spore, honestly feel good. thou taiwan is fun- in a way that theres good food, clothes blah bla blah. ehh. FYI, tasting good food n shopping for nicey clothes are already enough to keep me busy and happy! but i do miss home. i miss.. heh! nah. not gona tell you!
