many pple asked me abt my papers. for convenience, i think i shall just write it here. initially i really didnt wan to talk abt it, seriously. well... happy reading this geek-y entry.
theres no pt discussing hw much i can do, or hw many qns i managed to solve, because of some shit ass bell curve. in another words, hw well u actually do depends on hw badly others do.tts hw crude right? but hello, welcome to uni life. (my pharm mates like to joke bat this, heh!)
okayy. i took 5 modules this sem. they are Physical pharmacy, Physicochemical properties of drug actions-PPDA, Anatomy, Physiology and Mathematical Thinking.
To give a brief introduction on these modules (in case you all went, WTH are all these?),
Physical Pharmacy
we learn about the fundamental physicochemical principles relating to the design of pharmaceutical dosage forms and then we apply these principles to the understanding of the relationship between pharmaceutical formulations and biological activity.
PPDA
We learn how the physical and chemical properties of drug molecules affect biological activity.
Anatomy
okayy. we learn abt the body systems. yes, we have many terms to memorise. eg. deltoid-a muscle at your arm. In labs, you get to examine cadavers(dead bodies). the lab smells of formaldehyde. and it can be quite stingy to the eyes. tts my personal opinion. =)
Physiology
in anat, we learn about the body. so, in physiology, we learn how it works. eg. the mechanisms in kidneys that allows them to function properly.
Mathematical thinking
this is my GEM-general elective module. Its a total diff. math. you learn about the different theorems of math, major facilities that the brain possess and the different ways people can find essence in math. haha. its a disgusting philosophical math module lar!
tts year 1 sem 1 for me.
brainy.
