first day of my internship and i was late. half an hour late. i know it's terrible but well...what to do. i'm the late queen. luckily the person-in-charge, raine, was nice. she didnt say anything bout my lateness. however, halfway through the orientation bout the project, this guy called andrew said he wanna talk to me. he scared me to death. i thought he wanna scold me bout being late. but guess what!! he's my 'boss'. i'm under him and another guy called lester, my supervisor. he just wanted to talk to me bout the crisis they're having now. also, he heard from glenn, the interviewer cum project manager, that i'm good. thus, he's having high expectation of me. well... his words make me worried.
anw our team is damn pathetic. there's only the three of us doing some data migration and change management thread. the workload will be quite heavy these few days as we have to meet a deadline for testing. but i didnt do much today. they didnt have time to teach me the software, SAP, they're using. so basically, i just slacked ard facing the stupid computer that has no wireless connection. that's what peh wah, gill n i did for about six to seven hours. that's like so bleah. imagine yourself staring at a powerpoint or word, pretending to be reading some stuff but in actual fact, ur dozing off. so duh la. doing nothing is even more tiring.
also, i was quite shocked when i entered the 'office'. actually, u cant say it's an office. it's more like a big classroom with many long tables. we dont have our own individual desk at all. there's another small room called the solution. the people inside are mostly indians who are very good at some programming languages.
hmmm...i think the people there are quite nice. raine has organized a bbq next fri. that seems to be our first bonding session. anw, all thanks to my wonderful shoe that i have a few blisters n one of them burst. that's like so pain la. damn it. n i think i'm a bad networking student. i cant even troubleshoot the wireless connection problem. in the end, i cant even surf the net the whole day. bleah. well... hope tmr wont be a rotting day =)
